With love from The Garden Gate

After 16 beautiful years, the Garden Gate has closed and is now taking a much needed sabbatical. We have loved being part of your lives and are so honored you’ve welcomed us into the very special moments of your celebrations and family traditions. We have treasured each and every luncheon, tea party, shower, and wedding you have entrusted us with.

You have graciously allowed us to fulfill the hospitality ministry vision the Lord gave us of offering a “blissful interlude of blessings,” a place of comfort, a place of beauty, a place of peace, and above all a place where His presence dwells.

Through you the Garden Gate has been able to touch countless lives by providing a tea room where precious memories could be made; by hosting charitable fundraisers for local, national, and international ministries, Bible studies, worship gatherings; and by providing a home base for our photo-missions documentary to bless Israel.

We want to thank our friends at Main Street Leasing (our landlord) for believing in us and offering the opportunity to continue at this location by expanding our tea room hours and becoming a full-service restaurant, if that is what we chose.

We ask that you would understand our decision, which we have arrived at after much thought and prayer over the last year. The ever-increasing demands of operating, managing, and sustaining a growing restaurant business and the lack of space in which to continue to grow and pursue our passion for hospitality, weddings, events, and worship gatherings have all been factors in reaching this decision.

Many of you have expressed your sorrow at our closing. Your outpouring of love and support has been overwhelming. Although our hearts are tender, as we will dearly miss this little piece of Heaven, relationships and memories live on as they are God’s precious gifts to us and will forever be treasured in our hearts.

We invite you to embrace with us the wonder and excitement of a new season in life’s journey as we continue to seek God’s perfect will and the unfolding vision, expansion, and future of the Garden Gate.

“For you will go out with joy and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands” (Isaiah 55:12 NAS).
